Hey districhavoc,
I think I might have figured something out about those dance steps in the break of the song where we have sticks. If it's of any help, one part was inspired by the Nike "basketball song", and one part was inspired by Jay Chou's "Fearless" fan dance thing in his video.
It's either going to look utterly ridiculous, or it's just going to suXX0rZ Bill Clinton's p3nXX0rz.
Should be interesting....
In other animu news, as of now, the best animu that came out in the spring is Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight (Kanon doesn't count as it is classic winter "sad girl in snow"). This series seriously has THE best seiyuu cast possible (Yui Horie, Aya Hirano, AND Aya Hisakawa?! WTF). The animation is way above average, and the music AMAZING. The story itself makes sure that it's not a disappointment.
It's funny and outrageous, but it also randomly takes itself very seriously. That blend works really well in my opinion.
Episode 8 inspired me because it was so EPIC. How is it epic?
1. They were able to do a re-enactment of Hitler's "beer hall" speech using LOLi girls (they even have a few shots of the Nazi sign!) 2. Random cuts and fade aways in the scene changes that reminded me of Serial Experiments Lain 3. The awesome sort of reference to Mahoromatic at the very end
It was just awesome, especially that "beer hall" speech. My jaw seriously fell to the floor, and that's just something that should not happen when I'm watching a stupid cartoon. Up to this point, it's ben meh, but after that episode, now it's GAO AMAZING. |

Unfortunately for your Beer Putsch theory, the swastika is a common sign in the East, and existed there for centuries. It has something to do with Buddhism and so-called benevolent associations. You can easily tell which is which because, as chance had it, Nazi swastika is turned the other way.
Wikipedia says that the Beer Putsch is portrayed in FMA: Conqueror of Shambala. That might be curious to check out.
Of course I knew about that Buddhism thing.
It's just that when it's a swatstika in a white circle with a red flag, it doesn't really bring a "benevolent" feeling. Plus, they had the character give a speech and everyone at the end yelled "REVOLUTION"! | |
